Job Summary

Lead and grow a Field Engineering team of Solutions Architects in Data & AI for large banking/financial services accounts in India. Build and scale pre-sales capabilities, mentor engineers, drive value-based solutions, and collaborate with executives to expand Databricks’ presence in India while enhancing ROI of field engineering in sales cycles.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and mentor the Solutions Architect team to understand customer needs and identify revenue opportunities in strategic accounts
•Build and scale the pre-sales team in the Data & AI domain while maintaining calibre and collaboration across the organization
•Interface with leadership and C-suite stakeholders at strategic customers to position Databricks strengths and drive trust
•Drive a value-based selling approach within the field engineering organization and promote data-driven decision making
•Contribute to planning and strategy by bringing field engineering priorities and feedback to the roadmap

Key Requirements

•6+ years experience in a pre-sales / consulting / customer facing managerial role: developing, managing and building a team of successful Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionals
•6+ years experience in Big Data Architecture incorporating components of Data Engineering / Data Warehouse / Machine Learning / Data Science
•Experience working with strategic Banking / Financial Services / Digital Enterprise accounts generating +$1M ARR
•Experience in scaling and mentoring field and technical teams managing both in-person and remote working models
•Knowledgeable in and passionate about data-driven decisions, AI, and Cloud software models
