Job Summary

Join Airbus Defence and Space as a Procurement Contracts Manager for the Space Systems business line. You’ll act as the PCM focal point in Germany, support call for tenders by reviewing contractual baselines and bids, lead contract drafting and negotiations, and oversee the contract lifecycle for complex agreements and amendments. You’ll also mitigate contractual risks, support claims and pre-litigation, and coach stakeholders through contract management and negotiation training.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the Procurement Contract Manager (PCM) focal point for applicable Space Systems activities and programs, mainly in Germany.
•Support call for tenders by challenging/assessing/approving contractual baselines, assessing contractual elements of bids, and supporting negotiations and contract awards.
•Prepare, perform and lead contract drafting and negotiations in close collaboration with the Procurement function.
•Approve and sign the Contract Validation Form (CVF), ensuring key elements (executive summaries, deviations, risks, opportunities) are captured before Airbus final signature.
•Oversee and manage the contract lifecycle for complex contracts, amendments, claims and settlement agreements; mitigate contractual risks and support claims/pre-litigation matters.

Key Requirements

•Master’s-level university degree in Legal and/or Business Administration (or equivalent) with experience in contract management and business law.
•3+ years of experience in contract management and legally secure drafting/design of procurement agreements.
•Negotiation-proof German and fluent English to collaborate in an international context.
•Team-player with a “Can Do” attitude and ability to find solutions to contractual issues.
•Analytical and rigorous approach to breaking down complex topics and balancing contractual and business risks/compliance.
