Job Summary

Develop and qualify high-reliability power solutions for Cisco networking products, from 10W IP phones to 3000W data center switches and routers. Design power topologies (buck, buck-boost), perform design reviews, create test plans, and collaborate with Hardware, ASIC, and Mechanical teams to deliver robust analog power solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and qualify system power to meet the power requirements of new products.
•Develop and execute test plans for upcoming power designs and document procedures, plans, and specifications used by the Power team.
•Assist in the resolution of power-related field/product issues for assigned projects.
•Engage with power supply vendors to develop power supply that meets Cisco Quality requirement and timeline.
•Perform design reviews of schematics, BOMs, layout and routing.

Key Requirements

•Experience with power design or power electronics or analog design.
•Experience with power design topologies such as buck, buck-boost, and design for highest efficiency.
•Experience with tools: Concept, Allegro, LTspice, PSpice, Simplis, Mathcad, PowerDC, SIWave, Ansys or Hyperlynx.
•Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or power electronics with 4+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
•Knowledge of board-level and front-end power hardware design and solving complex analog or power design problems.
