Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform MIG and TIG welding and complete required metal-fabrication preparation steps (wiping, degreasing, de-burring, grinding).
  • •Use manufacturing information, bills of material, and written/oral instructions to determine parts/inventory and select jigs/fixtures and materials.
  • •Operate spot welders and interface with robotic welding; also operate arc welders, cutting torch, power grinder/sanders, hand tools, bandsaws, drills, and related equipment.
  • •Inspect parts periodically using drawings/blueprints, make adjustments as needed, and keep accurate piece counts/records while reporting quality problems.
  • •Maintain welding/equipment setup (electrodes, settings, tooling changes) and complete maintenance check sheets; assist other fabricators/operators and flex to other departments.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have a High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • •Minimum of 1 year of MIG and TIG welding experience, or a technical diploma/certification in welding.
  • •Only candidates residing within 50 miles of the work location will be considered (Active-Duty Military Service members exempt).
  • •Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • •Be able to read and understand blueprints/drawings and follow manufacturing instructions.
