Key Responsibilities

  • •Work collaboratively within the Project team and with Client to maintain positive relationships
  • •Supervises pre-commissioning activities for mechanical equipment oil flushing, final alignments of rotating equipment, loading & final closure of stationary equipment within his area of responsibility, and repair and refurbishment of mechanical equipment during commissioning and operations as required.
  • •Supervises commissioning activities for rotating machinery packages test runs and performance tests within his area of responsibility
  • •Development of piping test packs, flushing / cleaning test packs, leak testing test packs
  • •Participate in walk down inspections, punch listing, cleaning and reinstatement activities of mechanical / piping systems

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or similar; preferably a degree
  • •Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a contractor organisation as a commissioning mechanical supervisor/specialist
  • •Experience with pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up on at least 3 major EPC projects in refinery, oil and gas
  • •Experience with rotating machinery packages such as turbines, pumps and compressors
  • •Experience with development of test packs for hydrotesting, cleaning and reinstatement
