Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the senior BESS technical lead within the Philippines T&D team, providing direction, oversight, and assurance across MV/HV/EHV projects.
  • •Lead design reviews and technical assurance/quality control across the project lifecycle from feasibility to detailed design.
  • •Oversee BESS balance-of-plant systems (electrical, control, SCADA, grid interface) and develop grid connection solutions (11kV–400kV), including protection and compliance.
  • •Coordinate multidisciplinary delivery by partnering with project managers, discipline leads, and global teams; support proposals, delivery strategies, and resource planning.
  • •Mentor and develop engineers, support recruitment and capability growth, and contribute to standards, tools, and design guidance development.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering (or related field).
  • •Significant experience in BESS, renewables, or grid-connected infrastructure.
  • •Background in consultancy, contractor, OEM, developer, utility, or owner’s engineer roles.
  • •Strong knowledge of BESS systems, renewable integration, and grid requirements, including FEED and detailed design or technical assurance.
  • •Understanding of MV/HV systems (transformers, switchgear, protection, SCADA) and experience delivering multidisciplinary projects; must be open to onsite work 3 days per week.
