Key Responsibilities

  • •Practice safe work behaviours and support daily and monthly mine safety initiatives.
  • •Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and equipment.
  • •Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications, and schematics to troubleshoot and repair.
  • •Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate, up-to-date maintenance records.
  • •Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on Komatsu haul trucks, Komatsu shovels, and Pit Viper drills; direct and train apprentices.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 56.87 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a valid British Columbia or Interprovincial Industrial Electrician Red Seal Trade Certification.
  • •Possess an Air Brake endorsement (asset).
  • •Have at least 3 years of related mining-industry work experience (preferred).
  • •Be proficient with DCS, PLC, VFD, MCC, and microprocessors.
  • •Understand the Electrical Code and be able to read electrical schematics and prints.
