Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage location EHS programs and management systems to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • •Lead and develop the EHS team through delegation, planning, policy/procedure administration, and follow-up.
  • •Ensure required training is conducted per regulatory and Smithfield EHS systems.
  • •Maintain timely regulatory reporting, performance documentation, and ISO EHS program conformance, including metric reporting.
  • •Lead investigations, implement corrective actions, and communicate action plans based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field (or equivalent) plus 8+ years of related experience.
  • •2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership.
  • •Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, set goals, and complete commitments on schedule.
  • •Comfort working long hours, weekends, and staying on-call when required.
  • •Occasional travel and strong English communication for drafting reports, correspondence, and procedures.
