Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the firm’s Risk Management Framework, aligned to the scale and complexity of the Ireland entities.
  • •Operate as part of the Global Risk team and support the application of globally agreed standards, procedures, and risk practices.
  • •Identify, assess, and monitor new and emerging risks, including risks from operations, outsourced/delegated service providers, and proposed new products and initiatives.
  • •Meet at least quarterly to review and update risk registers, escalating material risks to CEOs, risk committees, relevant forums, and the Board as appropriate.
  • •Manage, coach, and develop the Senior Risk Manager, chair relevant risk committees/working groups, and coordinate with Internal Audit and control functions for assurance and follow-up of findings.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience in enterprise or operational risk management within financial services, pensions, wealth, or a similarly regulated environment, including responsibility for risk frameworks, policies, and risk appetite.
  • •Ability to identify, assess, and monitor new and emerging risks and provide commercially aware risk input to senior stakeholders, including Boards and executive committees.
  • •Proven track record developing and reporting Key Risk Indicators, managing risk registers, and preparing high-quality risk reports and regulatory risk documents (such as ICARAP).
  • •Experience leading or chairing risk and incident forums/committees, coordinating with Internal Audit and other control functions, and driving lessons learned, remediation, and trend analysis.
  • •Strong leadership and people management skills to manage, coach, and develop risk professionals and promote a robust risk culture with clear risk ownership accountability.
