Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end broad-based compensation strategy and design/delivery of annual and mid-year compensation cycles.
  • •Partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, Legal, and senior business leaders on executive offers, retention decisions, org changes, and pay equity.
  • •Lead and set direction for a high-performing team of compensation business partners, while also carrying individual contributor responsibilities as a compensation business partner.
  • •Drive equity compensation approach improvements, including design and how equity is communicated to employees.
  • •Lead international expansion compensation work by building frameworks, market data, and guidance to pay competitively and compliantly in new countries.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 200,000 - 211,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of progressive compensation experience with at least 3 years leading a people management role.
  • •Proven experience directly supporting large R&D or Engineering functions and advising VP/SVP-level leaders on complex compensation decisions.
  • •Deep expertise in equity compensation design and strategy in tech companies where equity is central to compensation philosophy.
  • •Experience building compensation programs at scale (job architecture, market pricing, performance cycles, pay-for-performance).
  • •Expertise transforming disparate data into executive recommendations, with strong spreadsheet skills (gSheets and Excel).
