Provide independent oversight and challenge of risks related to digital assets and emerging technologies. Operate at the intersection of cybersecurity, technology risk, and financial innovation to evaluate threats, technology developments, and regulatory expectations. Partner with business, technology, cybersecurity, compliance, and risk stakeholders to support secure, resilient, well-governed adoption, translating complex technical concepts into actionable risk insights for executive and committee decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

•Support development and enhancement of risk taxonomy, policies, standards, and risk appetite metrics for digital assets and emerging technologies.
•Establish and maintain risk reporting, risk indicators, and governance processes for digital asset activities.
•Monitor industry developments, emerging threats, and evolving regulatory expectations impacting digital assets and distributed ledger technologies.
•Assess cyber risks for blockchain ecosystems including crypto custody, cryptographic controls, consensus mechanisms, node security, and on-chain monitoring.
•Interpret regulatory impacts and support audits/examinations and remediation activities, providing subject matter expertise to governance committees and senior management.

Key Requirements

•4+ years of technical experience in one or more areas including blockchain security, crypto custody (including MPC protocols), and digital asset risk management.
•8+ years of experience in one or more areas including financial services risk management, cybersecurity, technology risk management, operational risk, and information security.
•Experience providing risk oversight across digital asset and distributed ledger technology ecosystems with a balanced, risk-based perspective.
•Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable risk insights.
•Preferred: experience with regulatory expectations and compliance in financial services, plus relevant professional certifications (FRM, CRISC, CISSP, CISA).
