Key Responsibilities

  • •Support health policy development and health planning for decentralized health systems through stakeholder coordination and technical consultations.
  • •Assist with reviews, assessments, and evaluations of policies and plans, including monitoring and evaluation frameworks for PHC, UHC, and SDGs.
  • •Provide technical assistance for design, implementation, and monitoring/evaluation of health services delivery and management across multiple levels with a primary health care focus.
  • •Support implementation of national programmes including anti-microbial resistance (AMR) and essential medicines and medical products.
  • •Engage non-state actors for the national UHC agenda, support results-based governance capacity building, and coordinate technical assistance and advocacy through partnerships.

Key Requirements

  • •First university degree in a health-related science with training in public health, community/family medicine, health systems/services administration, health management, or a related field.
  • •At least 5 years of relevant work experience developing and/or implementing public health capacity-building policies, strategies, and programmes at national level.
  • •Demonstrated professional experience working at sub-national and/or country level, providing technical advice and services to MOH and other partners in resource-limited settings.
  • •Experience in major health systems recovery and development, including health services delivery in emergencies and strategies to improve access to health care services and essential medicines.
  • •Ability to interact effectively with multiple high-level stakeholders from government and development partners, and provide policy and technical guidance to support health sector reform.
