Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, build, and support a team delivering traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design.
  • •Develop plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations, and other project documentation.
  • •Serve in roles on traffic/ITS projects, including project manager, technical leader, expert advisor, or quality control.
  • •Provide technical leadership and supervision of tasks, reviewing junior staff work and deliverables.
  • •Coordinate with internal discipline groups and external clients/sub-consultants, delivering assigned tasks on schedule and budget while meeting AECOM quality standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering (or related) with minimum 8 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience.
  • •Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) and/or Professional Engineer license in Iowa or Nebraska, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • •Experience with traffic engineering projects and clients in Iowa and/or Nebraska.
  • •Experience and familiarity with traffic operational analysis, including traffic projections, analysis and simulation, and traffic safety and signal warranting.
  • •Experience and familiarity with ITS/emerging technology projects following the systems engineering process; familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Synchro, VISSIM or similar tools.
