Key Responsibilities

  • •Support project managers to deliver drainage projects on time and within budget.
  • •Undertake hydrology and hydraulic analysis for infrastructure projects, including roads, rail, and urban developments.
  • •Design stormwater drainage networks (minor and major systems), culverts, drains, detention systems, and flood mitigation measures.
  • •Develop and review 2D/1D flood models (e.g., TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, DRAINS) and prepare drainage calculations, reports, and design documentation.
  • •Lead drainage design reviews with clients and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with Australian standards and client requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •13-17 years of experience in civil engineering with a bachelor’s degree, with a preferred master’s degree in civil engineering.
  • •Strong technical and delivery capability for drainage design, including culverts, drains, and detention systems.
  • •Experience performing hydrology and hydraulic analysis and developing drainage reports, calculations, and design documentation.
  • •Familiarity with Australian Rainfall & Runoff (ARR) and ensuring designs comply with local authority standards and client design criteria.
  • •Computer literacy with reasonable proficiency in MS Office suite and Navisworks.
