Job Summary

Perform troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, assembly, testing, and installation of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment supporting FAA/FAALC product divisions. Handle tasks such as NAVAID antenna repair, rotary joint and drive motor troubleshooting, circuit board testing, and equipment performance analyses with data collection/reporting. Complete adjustment, test, and certification processes, prepare assets for shipment, and maintain required safety compliance while traveling up to 70%.

Key Responsibilities

•Repair and overhaul NAVAID antennas and components, and troubleshoot and repair rotary joints and drive motors.
•Test and repair circuit boards; perform production and repair of electronic cables and wire harnesses.
•Conduct equipment performance analyses and collect and report engineering data to support fault isolation and verification of functions under variable conditions.
•Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on FAA and interagency systems, including basic troubleshooting and replacement of failed Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
•Install and maintain NAS radomes and equipment/components, support shipment preparation, and enter time into the Data Collection and Reporting System (DCRS) daily.

Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

•Associate degree in electrical or engineering technology and completion of formal technical training courses for level II.
•Practical experience in an engineering technician support position, including troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, testing, and installing electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
•Ability to develop, review, and update engineering documentation and processes, and assist in producing and interpreting technical documents.
•NACI clearance—ability to obtain Public Trust.
•Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a physical fitness evaluation with specified weight restrictions (125–290 lbs).
