Lead risk-based internal audit coverage for American Express’ credit and fraud risk areas. Key Responsibilities

•Serve as Auditor in Charge (AIC), managing audits end-to-end: plan engagements, define scope and objectives, coordinate with stakeholders and regulators, conduct L1 reviews, and act as primary client contact.
•Analyze and review audit results and documentation to evaluate control effectiveness and efficiency and synthesize audit findings.
•Lead audit client meetings and walkthroughs.
•Develop test steps, audit findings, and audit reports in line with IAG policies and procedures.
•Guide teams in validating whether corrective actions / Management Action Plans improve the control environment and support ongoing business monitoring with audit leadership.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 89,250 - 150,250 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of audit experience.
•Prior experience working at a Big Four / G-SIB.
•Knowledge of credit and/or fraud risk management frameworks (governance, risk assessments, monitoring, underwriting, customer management, fraud prevention/detection, issue management, and reporting).
•Understanding of credit lifecycle lending risks (underwriting, customer management, collections) including first-party/victim fraud and cyber-enabled fraud across products, channels, and customer interactions.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, including delivering high-quality work and actionable feedback to management.
