Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time, following traffic laws and all safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer for loading/unloading; follow loading crew signals and assist with loading/unloading.
  • •Maintain invoices, shipping bills of lading, and delivery documentation; deliver paperwork to the shipping office after route completion.
  • •Perform routine service checks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air) and report malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor; arrange trailers and handle related assigned duties.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) (or chauffeur’s license depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass background and required drug testing per federal/state DOT regulations and pass a DOT physical (trucks over 10k lbs).
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
  • •Safely transport loads on required routes by traffic laws and safety regulations, including loading/unloading with crew signals.
  • •Able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and be able to travel frequently; prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
