Job Summary

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts supporting securities and derivatives brokerage, including technology, clearing, and custody agreements. •Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for securities and derivatives brokerage, including technology, clearing, and custody agreements.
•Review and negotiate corporate and commercial agreements.
•Advise on financial services regulation, disputes, and data protection regulation.
•Provide legal support for onboarding and implementation of major client projects.
•Deliver timely, quality, commercially astute legal advice proactively and efficiently.

Key Requirements

•Lawyer qualified to practice in a common law jurisdiction (HK qualification an advantage).
•3-7+ years PQE in a common law jurisdiction; candidates with less PQE may be considered with substantial financial services or contract negotiation experience.
•Familiarity with regulatory processes, rules, and codes in one or more of Australia, Hong Kong, or Singapore.
•Proven experience and a track record at a law firm, financial services regulatory agency, exchange, or licensed financial services firm.
•Strong drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to clearly articulate legal risks; fluency in English, with Cantonese and Mandarin a plus.
