Job Summary

Extend commercial credit by evaluating applicants’ financial history, assigning appropriate credit ratings, and ensuring all loan decisions and documentation comply with bank policy and regulations. Prepare loan offering memorandums, close or decline loans within limits, monitor portfolio performance, and manage past-due collections. Support new business development, maintain credit files and collateral/security documents, and complete required BSA/AML and compliance training.

Key Responsibilities

•Extend credit in accordance with the loan policy and guidelines, ensuring decisions and recommendations reflect accurate understanding of each customer’s needs and conditions.
•Interview commercial loan applicants, evaluate credit/financial history, review collateral (if applicable), and authorize or recommend approval/denial within specified limits.
•Prepare loan offering memorandums, ensure loan documents are complete and accurate, and close or decline loans in a timely manner.
•Monitor loan portfolio/performance, recommend changes in risk ratings, and maintain current credit files and proper note and collateral security documents.
•Develop new business, manage an existing portfolio, and collect past due loans while keeping credit and collateral exceptions within policy ranges.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Equivalent to a four-year college degree plus 6 years of related experience and/or training, and 5 years related management experience (or an equivalent combination).
•Broad knowledge of accounting, finance, economics, and related business fields.
•Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals, and present/respond to questions effectively.
•Ability to analyze credit and financial history and use mathematical concepts (probability, statistical inference, algebra, geometry, trigonometry).
•Intermediate proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing/typing (Microsoft Word and Excel mentioned).
