Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with construction project management tasks for public and private jobs.
  • •Support estimating activities, including bidding follow-through processes.
  • •Work with project managers and construction crew foremen on preparation, job setup, and job execution.
  • •Gain hands-on experience with asphalt plant operations, including working with plant operators, yard crew, loader operation, and running scales.
  • •Learn concrete plant daily activities, dispatch coordination for job sites, and basics of job cost, workload, and monthly projections with operations/accounting.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
  • •Currently enrolled in a college degree program and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or better.
  • •Sophomore through senior pursuing a technical/vocational certificate, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree in Concrete Industry Management (preferred), Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • •Must be 18 years or older and pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
  • •Must be able to read and interpret documents (e.g., delivery tickets and safety manuals) and carry out written or verbal instructions.
