Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck and trailer equipment systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering, transmissions, liftgates, brake chambers, and related components.
  • •Road test vehicles and inspect/test equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using tools and instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory/equipment on the company-issued service truck and maintain the truck with safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete repair documentation and upload required photos and findings to Repair Orders (RO) and DOT forms, coordinating with management/support as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 5 years of experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education/certification and years of experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Have a current and valid DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity or be able to pass a DOT physical and DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening.
  • •Required certifications/obtained within 18 months: ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609.
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license; obtain and maintain the Driver Qualification File.
