Job Summary

Drive Plaid’s AI strategy by building the data and intelligence layer behind smarter financial experiences. Partner with engineering, data science, and research to design scalable AI systems—from embeddings and representation learning to model integrations exposed via APIs. Own the AI platform roadmap and success metrics, guide initiatives from concept to production, and use performance data and customer feedback to continuously improve outcomes—while translating complex AI tradeoffs for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

•Define the strategy, roadmap, and success metrics for Plaid’s core AI and data foundation.
•Partner with engineering and data science to design scalable AI systems, including training/evaluation pipelines and intelligence APIs.
•Drive initiatives from concept to production with a balance of experimentation, reliability, transparency, and responsible AI practices.
•Collaborate with research, platform, and product teams to embed AI capabilities across Plaid’s products and developer platform.
•Use metrics, model performance data, and customer feedback to validate impact, inform prioritization, and improve outcomes.

Salary: USD 207,600 - 339,600 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of product management experience leading AI/ML or applied intelligence products from concept to production with measurable impact.
•Deep technical fluency in how modern ML systems are trained, evaluated, deployed, and monitored, with the ability to engage confidently with engineers and data scientists.
•Define long-term AI vision while delivering near-term experiments, prototypes, and launches.
•Experience building scalable developer or data platforms using well-designed primitives, APIs, and frameworks.
•Commitment to responsible AI and transparency in regulated or high-trust domains.
