Job Summary

Safely operate a ready-mix concrete mixer truck to deliver and unload concrete to construction job sites, following dispatcher and plant manager instructions. Maintain clean, safe work areas and vehicles, complete pre-/post-trip inspections, and comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices. Handle loading and materials safely (including admixtures), manage delivery tickets and customer interactions, and use tablet/computer tools and GPS/map books as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver concrete to job sites safely and efficiently, obeying laws and following dispatch instructions.
•Maintain communication with the dispatcher or plant manager regarding deliveries; check and complete delivery tickets with special instructions.
•Frequently climb a ladder to ensure materials are loaded safely, handle mixer chutes safely, and add admixtures to the drum when necessary.
•Maintain truck cleanliness, including rinsing the drum before and after deliveries.
•Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance/repair issues; collect money and record customer transactions when required.

Key Requirements

•Minimum of a valid Class B CDL.
•Acquire and maintain a valid DOT medical card and state-issued commercial driver license.
•High school diploma preferred or equivalent, or at least 1 year of related experience or training.
•Ability to read and interpret safety/operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
•Ability to write routine reports and complete delivery tickets; communicate effectively with customers and dispatch/plant management.
