Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, coach, and mentor a team of engineers across multiple locations.
  • •Collaborate with the Product Manager to shape the roadmap, set technical/product vision, and ensure delivery of product goals.
  • •Enable team success by ensuring resourcing, planning, and commitment to the roadmap.
  • •Stay close to the tech and product, setting high standards for quality and leading by example.
  • •Own hiring, growth, and development of the team and align the work with Wise’s wider technical strategy.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 135,000 - 175,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Strong, hands-on experience with OOP languages (Java) and modern stacks including REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • •Ability to complete technical interviews showcasing your knowledge of software and system design.
  • •Proven experience leading and mentoring software engineers.
  • •Product and customer mindset with experience building customer-facing products.
  • •Experience building distributed, high-scalability systems and microservices architectures.
