Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee monthly and quarterly close cycles, ensuring journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments are accurate and completed on time.
  • •Support preparation and analysis of financial statements for insurance entities in compliance with IFRS 17 and related standards.
  • •Manage accounting for investments, including fair value assessments, income recognition, and consolidation activities aligned to IFRS 10.
  • •Manage financials of service companies (inter-company and ServCo), including cost allocations, intercompany recharges, and adherence to internal governance and regulatory frameworks.
  • •Drive automation and data analytics initiatives and develop solutions through technical evaluation, data collation, management reporting, and implementation activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Chartered Accountant or post graduate/MBA with 2+ years of post-qualification experience in Finance and Accounting.
  • •B. Com/M Com or CA (inter)/CWA (inter) or Engineering with 2+ years of work experience.
  • •Prior experience in financial accounting and reporting with strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • •Meticulous attention to detail and strong communication skills for day-to-day interaction with in-country teams.
  • •Very strong Excel skills and good knowledge of HUB/REMIND/COGNOS/TREATS/SARACEN (and other HSBC systems).
