Key Responsibilities

  • •Own integration architecture between Workday and the Talent ecosystem, including standards for tool choice, middleware vs. native tools, data contracts, and interface versioning and security.
  • •Lead the full integration lifecycle from requirements through design, build, test, deploy, and iteration.
  • •Develop and review transformation logic (e.g., XSLT, MVEL) and supporting code for integration flows.
  • •Define observability and reliability as part of the spec (metrics, logs, traces, alerts) and establish SLIs/SLOs; lead incident response and postmortems.
  • •Serve as technical lead with vendors, translating business partner flows into integration designs and maintaining clear documentation and runbooks.

Key Requirements

  • •Deep, hands-on experience building and running Workday integrations in production (including Studio, EIB, and Web Services; ideally Extend and Prism).
  • •Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs plus XML/XSLT and JSON, including OAuth and SAML.
  • •Solid experience with at least one middleware platform.
  • •Proficiency in a general-purpose language (Java, Python, or JavaScript) and comfort digging into code when needed.
  • •Strong grasp of HR/Talent business processes and HRIS data workflows across recruiting, offers, onboarding, compensation, and performance.
