Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage GTM calendar development activities for fabric/finish development, coordinating with Design, Mills, and Laundries to meet deadlines and update LS&Co systems and product logs.
  • •Lead proto and fabric/finish approval processes, manage finish testing, and ensure approvals occur on time while highlighting risks (Red/Yellow/Green) with actions.
  • •Execute fabric/finish development aligned to seasonal sourcing and mill strategy, initiating new finishes, submitting proper testing, and running AW testing and shade band variances.
  • •Ensure costing targets are met by partnering with Source Base, PD&S leadership, and Development Merchandiser, advising on relative cost impacts and maintaining finish grids.
  • •Manage development for reproducible bulk production combinations and partner with production and quality teams to identify quality issues and recommend fixes.

Key Requirements

  • •A higher diploma or above in a textile-related discipline.
  • •Preferably 8 years of experience in apparel fabric/finish development.
  • •Experience with finish formulations, wet & dry processes, and chemicals to achieve acceptable garment results meeting brand requirements.
  • •Knowledge of finishing SOP requirements in a laundry environment, including formulas, target cost, and transferring developmental formulation to production.
  • •Ability to identify risks and problem-solve issues across both development and production, with strong verbal and written communication.
