Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide engineering support for naval combat systems, including technical matters for assigned shipboard systems.
  • •Develop and review combat system technical documentation (equipment specifications, installation/maintenance instructions).
  • •Perform life cycle and materiel management tasks such as obsolescence, material compatibility, alternate part investigations, and disposal management.
  • •Investigate combat system problems and develop solutions using root cause analyses and risk assessments.

Key Requirements

  • •3-year (Technologists) or 2-year (Technicians) technical program diploma in a marine technical field from a recognized institute.
  • •Certified as a technologist or technician by a recognized provincial/state/federal licensing body, or certified via Canadian Armed Forces electrical trades (QL 6A/6B Naval Electronics Technician or QL 6A/6B Marine Electrician).
  • •5+ years of demonstrated professional work experience in the naval, marine, or offshore industry within the last 10 years.
  • •Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • •Strong oral and written communication skills; English (essential).
