Job Summary

Lead a field engineering team for the public safety Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration organization, ensuring the group is correctly resourced, performs effectively, and delivers high-quality customer and partner system implementations. Own team performance management, mentoring, tools/training readiness, and project execution habits. Manage departmental financial goals (billing, planning, forecasting, monitoring) and ensure compliance while building strong cross-functional relationships.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure the team is correctly sized to cover current and forecasted workload, including recruiting or replacing qualified talent as needed.
•Own team organizational development and performance management, rewarding high performers, improving underperformance, and mentoring junior field engineers.
•Ensure field engineers have proper tools, test equipment, and training to be successful, and communicate regularly on goals, changes, and updates.
•Own departmental financial goals and administration, including billing, planning, forecasting, and monitoring, plus rewards and expense report processing.
•Maintain compliance with applicable Motorola Solutions policies and take responsibility for key technical decisions, escalating as necessary.

Travel: Low travel

Salary: USD 90,000 - 110,000 annually

Key Requirements

•High school diploma, an Associate's degree, or technical school certification, or military training experience is required.
•4+ years of experience in training, configuration, testing, optimization, 911 communication, and computer networking.

•Under 25% travel.
•Knowledge of communications system functionality and general/intermediate computer systems (hardware, operating systems, applications, and networking) is required.
