Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and deliver air quality projects for industrial, commercial, infrastructure, and public-sector clients, supporting regulatory approvals, environmental impact assessments, and special studies.
  • •Undertake and guide emissions inventories and dispersion modelling assessments, ensuring correct methodology, model inputs, assumptions, and interpretation.
  • •Analyze meteorological and ambient air quality data to characterize baseline conditions, assess impacts, and develop monitoring and mitigation recommendations.
  • •Prepare and review technical reports, air permit applications, regulatory submissions, and air quality monitoring and management plans, coordinating with field specialists.
  • •Manage projects from proposal through closeout and provide technical guidance, peer review, and QA/QC oversight while mentoring developing team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, environmental engineering, or a related discipline (graduate degree an asset).
  • •Registered (or eligible) Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
  • •5+ years of directly relevant air quality experience with increasing responsibility in technical assessments, project delivery, and client interaction.
  • •Demonstrated air quality consulting expertise including dispersion modelling, emissions inventories, air permitting, environmental impact assessment, regulatory reporting, and monitoring program design/interpretation.
  • •Practical experience applying AERMOD and/or CALPUFF, including model inputs, result evaluation, and communicating assessment implications/limitations.
