Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct inception planning and comprehensive desk review/situational analysis for immunization coverage, equity, supply chain, workforce, demand, and surveillance quality.
  • •Lead multi-year programme planning and costing (2026–2030), including stakeholder consultations, NITAG guidance, and integration of equity strategies and domestic co-financing.
  • •Draft the Gavi 6.0 Country Application sections and develop a results framework aligned with Gavi indicators and national immunization targets.
  • •Coordinate stakeholder reviews and WHO AFRO technical review/endorsement, incorporating feedback into revised application drafts.
  • •Facilitate national validation, support final submission documentation, and deliver final consultancy report and handover package.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, health policy, health economics, health systems, or a related field.
  • •At least 10 years of relevant experience in immunization and health systems programming.
  • •Demonstrated experience in development of Gavi applications, immunization strategies, or similar national health sector plans.
  • •Experience in programme costing, financial analysis, or resource planning.
  • •Excellent command of written and spoken English and knowledge of a local language; strong analytical, facilitation, and writing skills.
