Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain an always-on pipeline of acquisition targets, investment opportunities, and strategic partnership candidates sourced from your network and internal collaboration.
  • •Monitor Bay Area fintech, payments, and AI developments and convert conversations into actionable strategic intelligence and deal flow for leadership.
  • •Run proactive build-vs-buy-vs-partner analyses aligned to Circle’s strategic pillars, including Digital Assets and the AI/agentic commerce stack.
  • •Lead the full deal lifecycle—evaluation, diligence, structuring, negotiation, close, and integration—coordinating cross-functional stakeholders through decision frameworks.
  • •Produce crisp recommendation-forward analysis, investment memos, and board materials; structure transactions considering regulatory positioning, USDC liquidity dynamics, and multi-jurisdiction requirements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 245,000 - 307,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •13+ years in corporate development, investment banking, growth equity, or strategic finance, with end-to-end transaction leadership.
  • •Deep, active network in fintech, payments, and/or crypto with relationships at operator, founder, and fund levels in the Bay Area.
  • •Exceptional written and verbal communication; can write decisive memos and present to a CEO or board.
  • •Strong quantitative instincts, including building and stress-testing financial models and navigating cap table/income statement realities.
  • •Familiarity with generative AI models and prompt development.
