Support Carvana’s Legal Department by advising on consumer finance and regulatory requirements across automotive sales and technology-driven financial services. Lead and coordinate responses to regulatory examinations, investigations, inquiries, and complaints, and monitor federal and state rulemaking to translate changes into actionable guidance. Research and analyze compliance obligations (e.g., TILA, UDAAP, FCRA, FDCPA) and advise on regulatory risk, using AI-enabled tools to improve legal analysis efficiency and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

•Advise stakeholders on consumer finance and regulatory requirements, including consumer protection, consumer lending, payments, and servicing.
•Support regulatory examinations, investigations, inquiries, and complaints by preparing and coordinating responses and analyzing issues across legal, compliance, and business teams.
•Monitor federal and state consumer financial regulatory rulemaking, draft comments where appropriate, and translate changes into actionable guidance for the business.
•Research and analyze consumer finance and regulatory requirements (e.g., TILA, UDAAP, FCRA, FDCPA, Regulations Z/E/B, and NACHA rules) and provide business-focused advice.
•Advise on regulatory risk in consumer-facing operations and use AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, issue spotting, and consistency in legal analysis.

•J.D. and membership in good standing with a United States Bar.

•Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to condense complex issues into concise summaries.
•Comfort using modern legal research platforms and responsibly leveraging AI-based legal tools.
