Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver drafting and design on large multidisciplinary civil engineering projects for defence water and infrastructure.
  • •Lead collaboration across multidisciplinary team members and liaise with engineers and drafters (locally and internationally) to ensure timely design deliverables.
  • •Apply technical skills and industry knowledge to produce high-quality design outputs following rigorous standards and best practices.
  • •Work on projects improving defence capabilities by designing resilient, future-ready utilities and environmental systems supporting Defence operations.
  • •Mentor/lead juniors in the drafting and design team and the wider Adelaide team.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • •Demonstrable capability in AutoCAD and 12D or Civil 3D software packages.
  • •Proven experience leading design and drafting for large civil infrastructure/water projects, ideally with some defence project exposure.
  • •Ability to lead and develop designs independently across multidisciplinary projects, prioritising innovation, collaboration, and safety.
  • •Australian citizenship required due to defence clearance eligibility; an Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering Design is preferred.
