Serve as a part-time cosmetology examiner/proctor, objectively observing candidates as they complete NIC cosmetology and related practical licensing exams. Key Responsibilities

•Provide objective observation of candidates performing skills demonstrations during NIC cosmetology and related practical licensing exams.
•Be present at the test site for each examination while candidates are present, and time each exam section.
•Read, speak, and write English instructions and verbal instructions with reasonable proficiency, while dressing professionally.
•Control the test area by following Prometric policies; greet examinees, verify identification, monitor written exams, and observe and rate practical exams.
•Resolve candidate issues or report to the appropriate supervisor, protect Test Center software security, reboot workstations/reset passwords as needed, and report out-of-guideline occurrences.

Key Requirements

•Be 21 years or older.
•Hold an active license in good standing with at least 3 years of industry experience.
•Be certified as required by NIC and maintain certification as a condition of employment (NIC examiner training will be provided).
•Cannot be affiliated with schools or teaching for students preparing for state board examinations.
•Cannot work for a manufacturer or beauty supply, and cannot grade candidates you know personally or professionally.
