Job Summary

Advise Defence and energy sector clients on developing, implementing, and optimising procurement and funding strategies to support greener outcomes and Net Zero targets. Contribute to strategic and commercial assessment of business challenges, develop “optimal” solutions, and support business case and major infrastructure development across programme lifecycles. Present insights clearly, tailor established tools and processes to specific situations, and engage/influence stakeholders as part of a multidisciplinary advisory team.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with Defence and energy sector clients to develop, implement, and optimise procurement and funding strategies aligned to Net Zero targets.
•Support business case development and major infrastructure development across stages of the programme lifecycle.
•Contribute to strategic and commercial assessment of business challenges and help develop and implement optimal solutions.
•Engage and influence clients and a wide range of stakeholders to successfully realise business outcomes.
•Deliver advisory services using established processes, tools, and systems, and support business generation opportunities where appropriate.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Be able to attain UK MoD Security Clearance; British Nationals only need apply.
•Have experience in government Greenbook business case development, including knowledge of Green Book business case economic principles and economic benefit assessment.
•Demonstrate experience of working in the Defence and/or public infrastructure sector, with a portfolio of managing transactions/projects in public sector delivery settings.
•Ability to write HMT Green Book Business across all five cases and participate in governance processes for approvals.
•Have a degree or MBA qualification (or equivalent experience) and strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
