Build and evolve a high-throughput, low-latency event streaming platform that powers real-time messaging and personalization. Key Responsibilities

•Architect and evolve the next-generation event streaming platform with high-throughput, low-latency solutions for messaging, personalization, and data integration.
•Enhance self-service capabilities for product engineering and data teams via tools for observability, debugging, load testing, and system configuration.
•Simplify and modernize streaming architecture by removing unnecessary abstractions and enabling direct access for power users.
•Solve complex distributed systems challenges to improve event delivery reliability, cost efficiency, and integration for real-time and batch workloads.
•Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, and infrastructure teams to launch new customer-facing features and integrations built on streaming infrastructure.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 150,000 - 205,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years experience architecting and supporting high-throughput distributed systems at scale, especially event streaming or messaging platforms.
•Deep understanding of distributed streaming frameworks such as Kafka, Flink, Pulsar, and/or Spark.
•Proficient in Java (Spring Boot) and familiar with modern development practices, including OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
•Able to debug issues across the stack, from message serialization and event schemas to network and JVM tuning, and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
•Experience with observability and developer tooling for streaming (e.g., tracing, metrics, replay), including infrastructure-as-code and Kubernetes (EKS) in cloud-native environments.
