Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and grow a portfolio of 100–150 major gift prospects, including NPR Foundation Board members, to secure high 6- to 7-figure gifts.
  • •Execute moves management across qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship using fundraising best practices and tracking tools.
  • •Develop and execute annual solicitation plans and aim to generate $5M+ in new revenue each fiscal year.
  • •Create donor proposals, impact reports, and briefing materials; partner with Donor Operations, Donor Communications, and Donor Relations to ensure high-quality stewardship.
  • •Maintain and update donor information in Salesforce and conduct 20–40 discovery qualifications annually to expand the portfolio.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • •5+ years of frontline fundraising experience at a large, complex organization.
  • •Proven track record cultivating and closing six-figure (and higher) gifts and pledges.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills to craft proposals and conduct donor meetings.
  • •Ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies and manage multiple priorities with ethical, data-driven decision-making.
