Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design of scalable, resilient payment solutions in collaboration with engineers and senior stakeholders, guiding long-term payments strategies and investments
  • •Mentor and develop high-performing technologists and contribute to Capco’s Technology and Engineering Practice through thought leadership
  • •Build trusted relationships with senior clients and influence technology decisions and roadmaps across domestic and international payment ecosystems
  • •Deliver payments transformation initiatives, defining technology strategies and migration from legacy formats while considering regulatory horizons
  • •Engage in agile delivery models (DevOps) and apply frameworks such as TOGAF and domain-driven design to drive architecture decisions

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience designing or modernising payment platforms for domestic and international real-time and card-based flows (e.g., A2A) with leading vendors (e.g., Form3)
  • •Knowledge of major payment schemes and networks (Faster Payments, Bacs, CHAPS, SWIFT, SEPA, Open Banking, Confirmation of Payee)
  • •Architecting highly available, resilient systems for high-volume processing compliant with modern messaging standards (ISO 20022)
  • •Experience across financial services architecture with cross-domain capability and non-payments initiatives when needed
  • •Applying modern distributed architecture patterns (microservices, event streaming, containerisation, zero-trust) across hybrid environments
