Job Summary

Provide local technical leadership for the management and monitoring/oversight of decommissioning and regulated material abatement and demolition projects for multiple contractors. Interpret plans and specifications, perform site inspections, conduct material sampling as needed, and generate accurate documentation and periodic progress reports. Lead junior field staff, anticipate risks from contractor/testing reports, and support client objectives while championing health, safety, environmental, quality, budget, and schedule goals.

Key Responsibilities

•Examine and interpret written and graphic construction plans, specifications, schedules, and other project documentation.
•Monitor contractor progress and perform site inspections to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, regulatory requirements, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
•Provide leadership and direction to junior-level field staff to execute monitoring/oversight requirements.
•Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems and field/work site notebook.
•Prepare periodic reports on work progress across multiple sites and examine contractor/consultant testing reports to anticipate risks to project objectives.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma.
•9+ years of demolition oversight experience, including regulated materials abatement (e.g., asbestos, PCB, universal waste) and commercial/industrial demolition methods (explosive and/or non-explosive).
•Ability to read and interpret construction plans, technical specifications, permit requirements, test data, schedules, and budgets.
•Familiarity with environmental and construction laws, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
•Ability to uphold workplace safety policies and perform physical activities required for field work.
