Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyze operational measurements and metrics, mapping source data to a central monitoring data model.
  • •Validate completeness, correctness, and consistency of incoming monitoring data and normalize names, formats, units, timestamps, and identifiers.
  • •Enrich metrics with contextual metadata (service, mission, project, dataflow) and define/implement automated data-quality checks.
  • •Detect missing, delayed, duplicated, or inconsistent measurements and investigate data-quality and ingestion problems.
  • •Maintain metric definitions, mappings, configuration, logs/traceability/data lineage, and support dashboards, reports, alerts, and monitoring interface changes.

Key Requirements

  • •A university degree in data engineering, computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
  • •3–5 years of experience in data engineering, operational monitoring of complex systems, data quality, or scientific-data systems.
  • •Strong SQL skills.
  • •Practical experience with Python or another scripting language.
  • •Experience building or maintaining data-ingestion or ETL/ELT workflows, including validating, transforming, and normalizing data.
