Key Responsibilities

•Prepare and present meals (measuring, mixing, slicing/chopping) and prepare routine menu items like sandwiches following repetitive steps.
•Plate and serve meals to detainees in housing units; pack sack lunches and deliver to processing hold rooms and transportation.
•Drive a box truck for meal delivery; receive food orders, unload trucks, and stock dry, cold, and freezer food stores.
•Wash dishes and food prep items and clean dining and kitchen areas (floors, tables, chairs), including grease traps and hoods.
•Clean storage and other facility areas as directed by AIP management and perform other duties as needed.

Key Requirements

•At least one-year experience as a Food Service Worker or related position in a commercial or industrial kitchen.
•Possess current/valid Texas food handlers permit.
•High school diploma or GED.
•Obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE government clearance.
•Must speak, read, and write fluent English; able to follow instructions and recipes in English.
