Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist paving crew duties such as shoveling/raking, luting, running wheelbarrow, and safely backing/dumping trucks into the paver.
  • •Perform daily equipment maintenance: inspect for damage, check fluid levels, inspect systems for leaks, grease the machine, and verify tires/tracks condition.
  • •Adjust tow arms, screed, and flow gates to maintain correct head of material, angle of attack, and mix depth; coordinate pace to ensure continuous paver operation.
  • •Operate the paver including hopper management, straight-line paving, and ensuring material is placed properly, coordinating with drivers on appropriate discharge amounts.
  • •Complete required paperwork timely and accurately; communicate with operator to avoid stop-and-go paving and keep equipment clean.

Key Requirements

  • •High school education (or GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience, with 1–3 months related experience/training.

  • •Willingness to travel, work away from home when required, and work nights/weekends as necessary.
