Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and deliver end-to-end operations research workstreams across dynamic warehouse routing, shipping cost optimization, multi-modal transportation, network flow, inventory planning, and PO allocation.
  • •Translate complex operational challenges into well-defined optimization problems with measurable objectives and production-grade models.
  • •Apply optimization methodologies (LP, MIP, CP, vehicle routing, network flow, metaheuristics, stochastic optimization) and continuously improve based on operational feedback.
  • •Establish experimentation and scientific standards, including clean data splits, historical backtesting, model validation, and robust evaluation frameworks.
  • •Lead technical direction for the India-based OR team, mentor practitioners, and collaborate across Bangalore and Palo Alto to integrate solvers, pipelines, model serving, and evaluation infrastructure.

Key Requirements

  • •9–12 years of experience in Operations Research, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • •Deep expertise in optimization methodologies including LP, MIP, Constraint Programming, Vehicle Routing, Network Flow, Metaheuristics, and Stochastic Optimization.
  • •Experience owning OR/optimization workstreams end-to-end, from problem formulation through production deployment and measurable business impact.
  • •Strong engineering capabilities to productionize optimization/analytical systems including feature pipelines, solver integration, model serving, and experimentation infrastructure.
  • •Proven experimentation and scientific validation skills, including backtesting, model evaluation, and working with large, noisy, sparse, or non-stationary operational datasets.
