Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the development and implementation of the Expanded Programme on Immunization plan through liaison with national counterparts and stakeholders.
  • •Provide technical support for routine vaccination, mass campaigns, micro-planning, and outreach activities, with emphasis on high-risk groups.
  • •Supervise vaccination activities to ensure availability of potent vaccines, equipment, and injection materials, and support training and capacity building.
  • •Develop and monitor work plans and budgets; compile and share information on vaccine impact and submit proposals to strengthen immunization systems.
  • •Coordinate research and guidance for evaluating newly introduced vaccines, monitor resource utilization and reporting, and lead emergency preparedness and response activities.

Key Requirements

  • •University bachelor’s degree in public health or a related discipline.
  • •Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in immunization and vaccine development programme work.
  • •Experience providing technical services to Member States and partners in public-health programmes in resource-limited settings.
  • •Experience with intergovernmental agencies/UN system or WHO, including knowledge of national partnerships and networks.
  • •Expert knowledge of English and local language.
