Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop recommendation system architecture for ByteDance products, ensuring stability, high availability, and optimized performance for online services and offline data streams.
  • •Create strategy management and optimization capabilities, including standardized recommendation strategy definitions, offline evaluation, and retirement of ineffective strategies.
  • •Build adaptive tuning and fault diagnosis solutions to optimize system parameters/configurations and support fault tracking, localization, and analysis.
  • •Engineer low-cost, high-performance storage and data quality mechanisms, including flexible schema evolution, high-concurrency real-time writing, and training-inference consistency.
  • •Construct a multimodal heterogeneous computing framework and co-design architecture and algorithms to improve large-scale recommendation model efficiency under cost constraints.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD degree.
  • •Strong foundation in machine learning; familiarity with models such as decision trees and support vector machines; ability to build, train, and optimize ML models.
  • •Excellent programming skills with strong data structures and algorithms; proficiency in C/C++ for traditional coding roles or Python for intelligent coding roles.
  • •Ability to use languages to implement complex algorithms and build iterative models with an engineering mindset balancing performance and cost.
  • •Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with algorithm engineers, data analysts, and product managers to drive innovation in e-commerce generative recommendation systems.
