Job Summary

Join the Building Services Design/Consultant Engineering team supporting delivery of mechanical building services projects from the Croydon office. You’ll support multiple projects through design and delivery phases, perform routine mechanical engineering calculations, and help develop technical proposals. The role includes supporting and leading 3D and BIM capabilities, with opportunities to work across Croydon, St Albans, and London offices using tools including Autodesk Revit.

Key Responsibilities

•Support multiple projects and teams with direct mechanical design and delivery activities across project phases.
•Perform specific portions of broader mechanical engineering assignments, including gathering/correlating engineering data and performing routine calculations.
•Propose approaches for new problems and identify discrepancies in results.
•Provide guidance to trainee engineers and perform work within agreed timeframes under supervision.
•Support and lead 3D and BIM capabilities and contribute to technical proposals.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical building services design.
•Knowledge and experience in mechanical building services calculations and design, including heating/cooling pipework and ventilation/control systems.
•Experience using building services engineering software, especially Autodesk Revit, with willingness to learn in-house digital tools.
•Fluency in written reports and oral presentations, with strong communication skills.
•Relevant experience including specification writing, calculations, and developing, conversant with UK codes and practices; BSc/BEng or MEng (or equivalent) in an accredited engineering discipline.
