Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide lifecycle delivery oversight for transportation projects, including feasibility, concept, design, community engagement, project delivery, and construction management.
  • •Appoint competent discipline lead engineers and plan/develop engineering tasks for unique problems, including investigation scope and novel concepts.
  • •Offer technical expertise to design teams across multi-disciplinary projects from conceptual phases to implementation, ensuring quality aligns with the project brief.
  • •Provide health, safety and wellness leadership and overcome project complexities in partnership with clients and the team.
  • •Develop client relationships and commercial opportunities; act as Project Director/Project Manager to monitor financial performance and support bids and proposals.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience managing and delivering complex civil and/or transport engineering projects, especially sustainable infrastructure and roads/traffic engineering.
  • •Experience with design standards for roads and active travel in the UK and Ireland.
  • •Working knowledge of contracts used on the island of Ireland, including the New Engineering Contract and GC/Works/Information Public Works Contract.
  • •Commercial acumen for managing opportunities and risks under project contracts.
  • •Relevant degree and Chartered status (or the ability to achieve similar status if moving from other jurisdictions).
