•Achieve market share and revenue goals by proactively prospecting, closing, and facilitating catering business opportunities.
•Prepare proposals and contracts, and respond to RFPs in alignment with brand standards while maximizing profit.
•Communicate booked client requests across departments using group resumes and detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
•Solicit new business via outside sales calls, prospecting, hotel tours, and hosting clients; retain and grow in-house accounts.
•Review weekly goals, perform follow-ups to support maximum daily occupancy, conduct market research, and attend networking/community events.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
•Minimum 1–3 years of hotel catering or convention experience.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong negotiation skills.
•Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite®, Delphi and/or Opera.
•General knowledge of contract laws; Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) desirable.
