Job Summary

Own Raptor chamber and nozzle hardware and drive projects across production, test, launch, and reuse. Work within the product team for sea-level or vacuum configurations, partnering with designers, analysts, and manufacturing engineers at the Raptor factory. Interface with Texas teams for hot-fire operations, review designs and analysis, lead anomaly investigations to closure, and help release block upgrades that improve mass, cost, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as technical owner for Raptor chamber and nozzle hardware, including piece parts, thrust chamber assembly, and/or nozzle extension.
•Partner with technicians and manufacturing engineers to develop and streamline production processes and unblock issues.
•Interface with Texas teams for hot-fire operations (engine testing, stage testing, and flight), monitoring tests and performing inspections and reviews.
•Review chamber and nozzle designs and analysis, building deep understanding of operating requirements and part history.
•Own anomaly investigations to closure and manage risk tickets and mitigations ahead of flight operations.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
•1+ years of hands-on fabrication, assembly, testing, and/or project management experience (via internships, labs, clubs, extracurricular activities, or professional experience).
•Master’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferred).
•System level understanding of liquid rocket propulsion (preferred).
•Experience with CAD software such as NX, including drafting and GD&T (preferred).
